                         1. Fort Rotterdam


The Rotterdam fortress or the fortress of sight is a fortress inherited from the Kingdom of Gowa-Tallo. From the location of this fortress is on the west coast of Makassar. Fort Rotterdam was built in 1545 by the 9th king of Gowa named I Manrigau Daeng Bonto Karaeng Lakiung. In the Ujung Pandang Fort complex there is now the La Galigo Museum, where there are many references to the history of the greatness of Makassar (Gowa-Tallo) and other areas in South Sulawesi. Most of the fort's buildings are still intact and become one of the attractions in Makassar City.

2. Mosque 99 Domes

In 2019, the government will prepare a budget of Rp. 58 billion to complete this construction. This large fund is intended to build 17 domes which are still unfinished, including the minarets, to complete the holy courtyard which can accommodate around 10,000 worshipers. As the name implies, this mosque is beautified with dozens of domes. Domes of various sizes, from small to large, adorn the top of the mosque. They are arranged on the terrace with bright colors, like red, orange and yellow

3. paotere Harbour


Paotere is a ship port located in Ujung Tanah Regency, Makassar, South Sulawesi. The harbor, which is ± 5 km (± 30 minutes) from the center of Makassar City, is one of the old legacy ports of the community that still survive and is evidence of the legacy of the Gowa-Tallo Kingdom since the 14th century when it sent around 200 Phinisi Boat fleets to Malacca. The port of Paotere is currently still used as a port for public vessels such as Phinisi and Lambo and is also a fishing center, which can be seen along the road bounded by shops selling various types of dried fish, fishing gear and some seafood restaurants.

4.   tallo Kings Tomb


Tallo Kingdom is one of the Makassar tribal kingdoms found in South Sulawesi. This kingdom is closely related to the Kingdom of Gowa, which together after the Islamization of the Gowa-Tallo royal alliance by historians called the Makassar Sultanate. Funeral complexes are generally not locations that are usually visited for sightseeing. But exceptions to burial complexes that have historical value or are inhabited by bodies of famous people. Tomb of the Tombs of the Kings of Tallo become one of the references if you want to try historical tourism in Makassar. This ancient Islamic cemetery is located on Jalan Sultan Abdullah Raya, Tallo District, including a national cultural preservation site protected by the government.

5. Museum 40.000 Soul


Located in the north of Makassar city and not far from the Revised Toll Road, there is an area called 'Jalan Korban 40,000 Jiwa'. According to stories circulating in the community, this place is a mass burial site for Makassar residents who were victims of the massacre of the Dutch invaders led by Captain Raymond Westerling in 1946-1947. For those of you who are in the city of Makassar and want to try attractions that have a thick historical value, there is no harm in choosing the monument Victim of 40,000 inhabitants. 6. Fort somba opu


Benteng Somba Opu is a legacy of the Gowa Sultanate which was built by the 9th King Gowa Daeng Matanre Karaeng Tumapa'risi 'Kallonna in the 16th century. This fort is located on Jalan Daeng Tata, Benteng Somba Opu, Barombong District, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi. Benteng Somba was founded in the early 16th century, approved in 1525 by the efforts of the 9th King of Gowa Karaeng Tumaparisi 'Kallonna which was then continued by Karaeng Tunipalangga Ulaweng. In 1545, Karaeng Tunipalangga Ulaweng (10th King of Gowa) strengthened the structure of the fort's walls with sturdy stones.

7. prince Diponegoro National Tomb

Prince Diponegoro is one of the National Heroes. He is known to be very heroic in repelling the Dutch invaders. The Diponegoro War or the Javanese War he dreamed of was one of the biggest wars in Indonesian history. Prince Diponegoro was one of the great figures in Indonesian history who waged the Java War (1825-1830). The five-year war drained Dutch Resources by paying handsomely: 8,000 soldiers and 7,000 native troops were refused, and cost 25 million guilders or the equivalent of 2.2 billion US dollars.

8. mandala Monument liberation west Irian


In the center of Makassar city there is a Monument called the Mandala Monument. The Mandala Monument was built to commemorate the Liberation of West Irian. This monument is located on Jl. Jendral Sudirman, not far from the kaberosi field, so you can reach this monument on foot. So when you visit Makassar it's incomplete if you don't make the time to stop by the tourist areas of the Mandala Monument area. Because in addition to here you can find out about the Trikora feast story, you can also enjoy the beauty and entertainment found around the Mandala Monument. 9. Museum Makassar City

The Makassar City Museum is located in the province of South Sulawesi, which was founded by / on the idea of ​​the mayor of Makassar. This museum occupies an old city hall located in the heart of Makassar. The building used is a historic building which was erected in the Dutch colonial period in 1916. These museum collections include maps of the earth created for the smooth running of trade and political missions in Indonesia in the past. Maps are a valuable source of information from an area at a time. In the past, Europeans made maps of various regions, especially those considered important and strategic. Other collections are relief portraits of Queen Wilhelmina and Yuliana, photographs of manuscripts, photographs of events and historical buildings, everyday equipment, and currency.

10. losari Beach


Losari Beach in Makassar is a beach located west of Makassar city, South Sulawesi province, Indonesia. This beach is a place for Makassar residents to spend time in the morning, afternoon and evening enjoying the beautiful sunset views. The distance of the Losari beach from Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport is approximately 20 KM and it will take around 30 minutes if via the Insinyur Sutami Toll Road. One of Makassar's special snacks that are tasted in the tent stalls is Epe Banana (raw banana which is burned, then made flat, and mixed with brown sugar water) Most delicious to eat while still warm with various toppings on top such as cheese grater, strawberry jam, etc.
